Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th, 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. The first single, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox released her music to the internet in 2012 after she released her Five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, she continued to share her music over the web, including her own released single Bound. On July 21st, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes song"Sweat It Out. J. Cole was interested by her talent and was looking to collaborate with Rihanna. On December 8 it was revealed that she had contracted to Dreamville Records. On the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II, she appeared on the track Backseat with Cozz. She released Pho, her debut EP on the 21st of October in 2016. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018, she performed as a guest on two songs with the EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox dropped her first single Whipped Cream from Shea Butter Baby on July 16th. A music clip was followed by a video in September. Then, on the 9th of November she dropped two additional singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Then, in November 2013, she dropped No One and Pedigree. She was featured with Cole in her Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16and later released the song as a solo single to the album she released her debut. In February of 2019, a music clip was released for the song. It already has nearly three million views on YouTube in its debut week. The singer was a supporting artist for 6LACK during the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December of 2018.
