Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competes within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sporting career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and a medal of bronze in 2008 and the gold medal in 2011. In addition, she was named IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional life in 2003. She was the winner of in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won the fight via second round TKO as well as winning her following 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass a record of 3-3-0. Shevchenko stopped for a few minutes from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities in the clinch by her knees against her body. Following this victory Antonina was offered a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision following her first bout. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus for the fight. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, however she lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
